I have always tried to
see the church as a family. What a healthy church should look like is
what you would see in a healthy home. Early this morning as I was
praying I thought about us having unity among us, in order to learn to
work in harmony together, that we might create a sound within us, that
flows out from among us, that would reach Heaven and change earth. If
we live outside the room of unity, then we are outside the reach of
personal inward change. Without the willingness to change us to fit in
with those that are around us there will never be the unity that we
seek, to create the harmony that we need, to gain the results that we
long for. My confidence in you is high that we are in the process of
seeing great things happen at our Church and in all the churches that
proclaim Jesus as Lord. Psalm 133:1&4 "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! ....For there the Lord
commanded the blessing— Life forevermore." And in that place of unity
among the people, the Lord commanded the blessing. We are learning how
to become that place.
We have with us this weekend the musical family, "Double Portion." They will be doing a concert in Glace Bay at Bethel Family Church Saturday @7 and will be joining with us Sunday morning.
This for us is our Family Sunday. We start at 10:15 with food and fellowship followed by the morning service.
Bring food and friends and I will be sharing a word, "Action Calls For
Reaction." When others treat you badly they may not be the source of
your problems. Let's go deeper together that we might be healed by the
power of the Lord Jesus
