On the day of
Pentecost the disciples were in the upper room in one accord and the
Holy Spirit came and filled them with power to witness. They had
recently been through some things together that could have divided them
but through it all they became more unified than ever. What the devil
tried to do to divide them happened at the cross, but God used the
resurrection to reunite them back together. We need to always remember
that when one door closes God always opens another one.
The trouble is we can look so long and so regretfully upon the closed
door that we do not see the new door that God has opened before us. Our
fellowship (fellows together on a ship) is tested when there is
hardship. (problems on a ship) Jesus endured the cross (the hardship)
for the joy that was set before Him. (our sweet fellowship) Look beyond your past problems and look into your bright future, for your best days are yet to come. I have great confidence in you that God will bless your words and the work of your hands today.
Tomorrow evening @7 Lumber River Quartet will be giving a live concert at Bethel Family Church in Glace Bay. Everyone is invited so plan to attend.
Get ready, get ready, get ready....it's Family Sunday at the Fellowship.
We gather at 10:15 for food and fellowship and thank you for wearing a
name tag on Family Sunday as it really helps us to get to know each
other better. Special guest on Sunday is the Lumber River Quartet and I will be sharing, 'What's Your Motive?'
Why do we do what we do and how does the devil fool us into doing what
we shouldn't be doing? Make lots of food and bring a friend and lets
believe for miracles to happen. Let me thank you for the willing loving
work that you do to make our church what God wants us to be.
